About Me
Hi, I’m Katherine Bertram, founder of The Career Boutique. I am a law graduate with over fifteen years business experience in the recruitment sector.
The Career Boutique was established in 2009 just after the great financial crash the year before. I thought this would be a great opportunity to get into recruitment as the economy started its recovery. I was in my late-twenties, hungry for success and worked every hour of the day to build a reputation for delivering professional candidates in an efficient and timely manner.
I am now a mum of five, living a busy life managing a business, a home, the children and juggling everything with my partner Gareth. My outlook and the way I run my business has changed from when I first started out in business. It’s my family that drives me now, ensuring I can give them the best life and be there for all of their special achievements. I have a better work-life balance but my passion is still the same.
I have worked hard to build relationships with my clients, many of which have been with me since the early days. They trust me and I understand their work culture and the type of candidate who will fit in and be happy. I spend time hunting for the best candidates for my clients and more than just filling positions I aim to marry the two together for a long term partnership.
